Theย Roleย 

  • Take ownership of key financial accounting activities, including balance sheet integrity, month-end close,ย reconciliationsย and statutory schedules.ย 

  • Work closely with the Head of Financial Control & Treasury and provide technical support across the wider Finance team.ย 

  • Help improve the quality,ย consistencyย and efficiency of our accounting processes as the business continues to grow.ย 

ย 

What youโ€™llย be doingย 

  • Coordinate assigned month-end close activities, journals,ย reconciliationsย and reporting schedules.ย 

  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconcilingย itemsย and resolve issues promptly.ย 

  • Own intercompany accounting, accruals, prepayments, fixed assetย accountingย and recurring month-end adjustments.ย 

  • Maintain oversight of sales and revenue accounting, including reconciliation of sales and settlement information to the general ledger.ย 

  • Prepare VAT, payroll, corporationย taxย and statutory filing schedules for review.ย 

  • Support year-end, auditย preparationย and audit requests across the Finance team.ย 

  • Identifyย opportunities to improve close processes, reconciliations, procedureย notesย and finance controls.ย 

ย 

About youย 

  • Youโ€™reย a qualified accountant โ€” ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent โ€” with experience in financial accounting, month-end close or a broad finance role.ย 

  • You haveย strongย knowledge of balance sheet accounting, reconciliations, controls, VAT, payrollย accountingย and audit requirements.ย 

  • Youโ€™reย confident using accounting systems such as Xero, Sage or similar, andย youโ€™reย comfortable working with large data sets in Excel.ย 

  • You bring excellent attention to detail, a strong controlย mindsetย and a proactive approach to solving problems.ย 

  • Experience in e-commerce,ย retailย or FMCG would be helpful, butย itโ€™sย not essential.ย
